Promos for the next new ST:TNG episode: "Gambit, Part I" (#256) 
were released today.  The actual program comes out on Saturday, 
October 9th.  Following the conclusion will be more new shows
including: Phantasms, Dark Page, and Attached.


Here is the promo copy (announcer):

HAS CAPTAIN PICARD BEEN MURDERED?

   [ "mercenary" Picard on alien ship; Baran activates
      an agonizer implant attached to his neck ]

   [ Worf and Riker talking to an alien in a bar ]

  Alien:  He was vaporized...

...OR HAS HE TURNED TRAITOR?

   [ Picard hits Riker in the face, knocking him to the ground ]

  Picard:  I say kill him.
